Some shots from day 2 of practice at lake Cayuga.
We wound up getting stranded for three hours in the middle of the lake (in 90 degree heat with no wind). I had a defective charger that Dwayne Waded me into believing it had completely charged my batteries… and it didn’t. We were chomping through some thick eurasion milfoil and I attempted to put the featherwick cruise ship into gear and blew the bushing square off the prop. Good thing the dudes at Bass Pro Shops in Auburn are saints and were able to stay late after the store had closed, and fix my boat.
We were having a less than great practice until we got stranded, oddly enough. We were sort of wind drifting across a 10 ft flat in the middle of the lake and started slamming the fish - I was too depressed about my boat to even pick up a rod, but Steve kept ranting the “fish on’s,” so I was bullied into picking up my 7`6 Cashion Flippin` stick.
